As a wedding photographer, I often get asked “What are flat lay details?”
For the last several years flat lay details have been a big part of a wedding day experience. They tell a story, they elevate your gallery & it’s fun to remember all the big and little things you planned for your wedding day.
There are two things I would need as your wedding photographer from you and your planner:
Talk to your florist beforehand about extra florals for details (think small and medium size florals, avoid large florals like roses etc.)
Let me know what your wedding colors are so I can try my best to match your flat lay
Gather details for your big day and have them all ready for me in a bag or shoe box
What you don’t have to worry about:
Bringing a ring box unless you have a specific color/design in mind. I have a variety of ring boxes that I use
Background (unless you have a special linen material that you would like to match with the rest of your wedding design)
Here is a list to give you an idea of all the fun details you can bring on your wedding day.
For her:
Invitations (preferably addressed to a couple with beautiful stamps, seals and all the fun things!)
